Here are 5 reasons why your business should have a Google My Business page.

Online Presence:  If you have a brick-and-mortar business, claiming your Google My Business page is one of the most important steps for getting noticed online.  Doing this will get your business located on Google Maps, which is one of the first things that show up when searching for a business on Google.  Even if your website isn’t optimized, your business will rise above the clutter and be included on the map when people search for your products and services.  Google will automatically populate a map with businesses that are in close proximity of the person searching.

Even if you don’t have a storefront that customers can visit, anyone who provides person-to-person or local services in a certain area is eligible for a Google my Business listing.

SEO: And even if you don’t have a website, your product or service will come up in Google’s local search results. If you do have a business website, it’s an effortless boost to your SEO and a sure way for a business to drive traffic to its website without ads.

Communications: Just like other social channels, you can share information with potential customers by posting content, updates and even include links back to your website.

Increase Traffic and Sales: According to Google, businesses are 70% more likely to attract local visits from browsing users by having a Google My Business listing which will increase traffic and sales.
