FOX 35's David Martin is checking out a new challenge at Kraken's Revenge at Daytona Lagoon.  Daytona Lagoon is looking for thrill seekers to participate in the first annual Kraken’s Revenge at Daytona Lagoon.   64 qualifiers will compete for bragging rights and a grand prize worth $800 that includes 4 Daytona Lagoon waterpark season passes, a weekend stay at the Hilton Oceanfront in Daytona Beach, a steak dinner and seafood buffet.  Radio stations 95.7 the Hog, 103.3 The Vibe, 94.1 Hot and 93.1 Coast Country will each get a lane on the 4-lane mat racer with 16 qualifiers from each station competing bracket-style until a winner is declared.

Before the final race at noon on May 15, Volusia County’s very own Sheriff Chitwood will go head-to-head against the City of Daytona Beach’s police chief, Chief Young and Riggs from 95.7 The Hog.

For a chance to compete, visit one of the radio station’s websites for more details.

The Kraken’s Revenge opened in April 2019 replace Kraken’s Quest, which was destroyed by Hurricane Irma.  Sky light rings simulate a high-speed time-warp tunnel, not found at another Central Florida water park.  The Shaka Halfpipe thrill slide was also added to the park’s repertoire of water rides in 2019. Starting on a 54-foot-tall tower, the pendulum ride drops riders into a halfpipe and slides them back and forth before coming to a stop at the bottom of the giant “U-shaped” structure.
