Daytona Lagoon to host job fair

Daytona Lagoon is hosting a job fair to hire workers in a variety of positions for its upcoming season, the park announced.

The water park and family fun center, just north of the Ocean Center on North Atlantic Avenue is seeking to hire roughly 350 full- and part-time seasonal employees for the 2020 season.

Those interested are invited to a job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at the attraction at 601 Earl St. in Daytona Beach.

Available jobs include lifeguards, admission cashiers, kitchen cooks and prep workers, food and beverage cashiers, servers, retail associates, birthday party hosts, park service attendants and various supervisory jobs.

For those specifically interested in being a lifeguard, meetings about that job will be held at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday at the attraction.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, but adults and retirees also are encouraged to apply, said Tyler Currie, general manager. Daytona Lagoon water park will open on March 7 for its 2020 season.
