A multi-screen report created in August 2012 by Google suggests that more than 80 ercent of Americans access the web for general browsing from more than one device, and 67 percent turn to laptops as well as smartphones and tablets simultaneously, specifically using the smartphone to research items before they are purchased, and the laptop or tablet to purchase the item. Typically, time online is spread through four different mediums: the smartphone, tablet, PC/laptop and TV.
